Become a Trainer

If you have a passion for technical story telling, then we would like to explore a joint venture.

Do you have a passion for training others? Are you attracted to the prestige of helping others realize a means of providing for themselves and their families? If you answered yes to these questions, you might be interested in becoming a technical trade instructor.

If you have recent trade experience in your area of expertise, then and A Technical Press opportunities could be an excellent match for you and provide rapid additional income sources.

In particular, Instructors with verbal and written fluency in any of these languages are being sought:

  • US English
  • English
  • Spanish (any dialect)
  • German
  • French

The following trades are of particular focused interest:

  • Janitorial
  • Commercial building maintenance (e.g. paint, carpentry…)
  • Commercial grounds upkeep and maintenance
  • HVAC
  • Refrigeration
  • Residential plumbing -focused on service and maintenance
  • Residential and commercial building electrician-focused on service and maintenance

Instructors must possess 3 or more of the following attributes to start.

  1. Be an active Instructor in your trade or craft
  2. Have industry credentials relating to the trade or craft
  3. Possess or earn any one of eight (8) Subject Matter Expert (SME) credentials
  4. OR be available to achieve credentialing or certification in a skill or craft within 6 months
  5. Have at least five years of hands-on experience in your trade or craft.
  6. Possess a quiet location to answers phone calls, emails, and host webinars. No in-person classes are scheduled for 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Candidates participate in hands-on teaching demonstrations and positive coaching techniques.
  7. The ability to conduct outreach campaigns to reach potential students

The next steps include:

A phone call or video conference sessions when candidates discuss their marketing plan and consult with a Certified Master Educator to help develop a successful instructor training business.

After you complete the initial contact, a determination is made of whether the program and your skills are a business match for the eTech and a Technical Press
