    HVAC/R Industry Leadership

Since graduating from Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in 1976, I’ve spent 48+ years in the HVAC/R industry. My career spans technical roles (Technician, Expert, Contractor), sales force development, instruction, and marketing strategy (Experian Advisory Committee). I hold the Certified Master HVAC Educator (CMHE) credential, demonstrating my professional expertise.

    Career Highlights

I progressed quickly in the commercial refrigeration field, becoming a Service Manager within my first eight years. I then founded and managed a California-based construction and maintenance firm (P&L responsibility), employing up to 150 people.

    Authorship & Education

I’m a recognized HVAC/R author, with three books on commercial ice machines (including “Servicing Commercial Ice Machines,” 2024) and contributions to “Electricity for the HVAC/R Technician. I served as Southern California liaison for ItsAboutQ HVAC training, conducting in-person sessions on optimization technologies, Title 24 compliance, and Quality Maintenance/Installation standards for Southern California Edison and others.

    Commitment to Certification

I strongly believe in the value of industry certifications as proof of both skill and knowledge. My CMHE credential underscores my dedication to the HVAC/R field.
